"El Maqtanyshy" Annual Prize
In 2019, the Foundation of Nursultan Nazarbayev established the "El Maqtanyshy" prize given to school students for their achievements in subject olympiads.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR EL MAQTANYSHY PRIZE?
1. Winners of most prestigious international olympiads in:
- mathematics (IMO)
- physics (IPH)
- informatics (IOI)
- chemistry (IChO)
- biology IBO)
- geography (IGeO)
- linguistics (IOL)
2. Personal tutors of the winners
3. Coaches of national teams
A personal trainer could be either a schoolteacher of the prize winner or a tutor who trained the prize winner outside school.
Gold medal winners receive 2 million tenge, silver medal winners receive 1 million tenge and bronze medal winners receive 500,000 tenge.
The prizes are given to each category of winners - prize winners, personal coaches, and national team coaches who have made the greatest contribution to the achievement.
HOW WINNERS ARE SELECTED?
Daryn National Scientific and Practical Centre submits the lists of school students who became prize winners of the international olympiads in mathematics (IMO), informatics (IOI), physics (IPH), chemistry (IChO), biology IBO), geography (IGeO) and linguistics (IOL).
Elbasy Academy Corporate Fund surveys the prize winners of international olympiads about personal and national coaches who have made the greatest contribution to their achievement.
