Competition dates: 20.02.2025 - 30.10.2025
The Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation announces a competition for grants to support travel to international and national cultural and arts events.
The grants aim to support young cultural and arts professionals, as well as students of specialized educational institutions. Funding covers travel and accommodation expenses for a period of up to 14 days.
Competition categories
Grants are provided in the following fields:
• literature and journalism
• choreography, music, theater, cinematography
• fine arts, architecture and design
Who can apply
Eligible to participate:
• professional cultural and artistic figures under the age of 40, working individually or as part of a creative team (up to 3 members, and for the category of "choreography" and "music" - up to 5 people);
• students of educational institutions in the field of culture and art.
How to apply
To participate in the competition, applicants must provide a set of documents:
• Completed application form (Appendix 1);
• Applicant's resume (Appendix 2 - for individual participants, Appendix 3 - for creative teams);
Cost estimate (Appendix 4);
• Creative program (in free form, applicants may attach photos, videos and other demonstration materials);
• Invitation from the event organizers;
• Recommendation Letter from the applicant's educational institution or workplace;
• Copy of the identification document;
• Transcript or academic record extract (for students)

Applications are accepted in Kazakh or Russian languages in paper form, completed in single original copy, stitched and signed by the applicant.
Application deadlines
Applications are accepted until October 30, 2025. Applications submitted after the deadline or with formatting errors will not be considered.
Selection process
• Competitive selection process is conducted at least once every two months.
• The decision is made by the selection committee, consisting of experts in the field of culture.
• Applications are evaluated based on the significance of the event for the professional development of the applicant and personal creative achievements.
• Winners will be notified of the results in writing form.
Funding and reporting
Grants are provided in the form of funds transferred to the recipient's bank account. Grant recipients are required to submit a report on the intended use of funds. In case of violations, a Foundation may request for a refund and deny participation in future competitions.
