The English-Latin version of «Soyle.kz» will increase interest foreigners to study the Kazakh language

On February 25, 2019, at the site of the Central Communications Service of the MIC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Development Foundation of the State Language under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy presented new projects that simplify the study of the Kazakh language. This is the English-Latin version of the online course «Soyle.kz», the mobile application «Balasoyle» on the Android and iOs platforms, a series of web graphic novels «Uly Dala Anyzdary» («Legends of the Great Steppe»), a video project for learning the Kazakh language Soyletube.      

        

The event was attended by the Director of the Development Foundation of the State Language Azat Shaueyev, the press secretary of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Oksana Loskutova, and the Director of the Corporate Communications Department of the Development of Social Projects «Samruk-Kazyna Trust» Miras Irgebayev.

 

The English-Latin version of the popular state language learning project «Soyle.kz» deserves special attention. If earlier Kazakh language was studied only in Russian, now study is available for foreigners and ethnic Kazakhs living abroad. At the same time, with the help of the portal, the Kazakh youth are learning the Latin script.

 

Today, more than 115 thousand people study on the Soyle portal, 5 million people from Kazakhstan and abroad have used the resource, and on the social network pages 30 thousand users learn the official language on social networks every day. Mobile application «Soyle.kz» downloaded 50 thousand people. Since 2016, according to the «Soyle.kz» methodology, free training via Skype has been conducted. On the radio «Astana» three times a week pass on the study of the Kazakh language.

 

The mobile application «Balasoyle» teaches children of school and preschool age the Kazakh language through developing online games that help the development of correct speech, give knowledge of the rules of grammar, vocabulary, knowledge of the environment. One and a half thousand people use the Bala.soyle.kz daily for children.

 

A spokeswoman for the First President’s Foundation noted the growing demand for the study of the state language by both Kazakhstanis and residents of foreign countries. «Our projects are being made really so that the state language would be wanted to be studied and studied, and with each year the audience coverage increased, both geographically and in quantity», shared Oksana Loskutova.

 

As part of the execution of the program «Ruhani zangyru» and the head of state’s article «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe», the Foundation continues to implement projects aimed at developing the cultural, literary and spiritual achievements of the Kazakh people and launches an online project «Uly  Dala Anyzdary» - a series of web-graphic novels «Legends of the Great Steppe». A website «Qazcomics.kz» and a mobile application in Kazakh, Russian and English have been developed.

 

The project  «Uly Dala Anyzdary» consists of two chapters: «Seven stories about great love» and «Great Batyrs of the Kazakh land» and contains the stories and legends of the Kazakh people, which were passed down from generation to generation by our ancestors for centuries. All the legends are somehow connected with the spiritual shrines of Kazakhstan, which allows us to learn more about them.

 

«The Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation continues to work on supporting social and language projects, in particular, the Kazakh language learning project Soyle.kz. Thanks to the online project, numerous Internet users were able to study the state language for free», said Miras Irgebayev, director of the Corporate Communications Department of the Development of Social Projects «Samruk-Kazyna Trust».

 

Also, the Development Foundation of the State Language has developed useful video lessons for learning the Kazakh language on the popular Youtube video platform.

 

Video tutorials are aimed at improving the pronunciation of the Kazakh language and the actions take place in an interactive form that simulates everyday life situations. They contain resources that will help both beginners and those who have long been learning the language. At the moment, on the Youtube channel «Soyletube» there are 8 video on the study of the Kazakh language.
