The National Logistics Certification Center, part of the European Logistics Association (ELA), was opened in Almaty. ELA is engaged in the training of logisticians, the development of pan-European standards for logistics, awarding the qualifications of a logistics professional, and the organization of conferences and seminars for the exchange of knowledge and experience of logisticians from different countries.

The emergence of the National Logistics Certification Center in Kazakhstan was made possible thanks to the conclusion of a memorandum between representatives of the European Logistics Association and the University Turan at the site of the III Forum of young scientists «Burabay Forum: international cooperation of Kazakhstan», organized by the Science Council under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy in August 2019.

The Vice-President of the European Logistics Association, PhD of the Budapest Institute Metropolitan Alfons Anthony, noted that ELA qualification certification is an impartial and independent assessment of the competence, level of knowledge, skills and labor functions of logisticians, recognized by the international community and giving competitive advantages and recognition in the world market of logistics services.

The uniqueness of this project is that the ELA opens a representative office in only one institution in one country, so the National Logistics Certification Center at the University Turan is the first and only one in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The Dean of the University Turan, Dean of Economics, Dina Razakova thanked the Science Council under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, for the opportunity of dialogue and the fruitful result of activities at the scientific platform «Burabay Forum». She also noted that today the skills of employees are becoming a means of competition, and qualified personnel is a basic advantage over competitors.

- Today, every professional should be aware of his potential, continuously update his own competencies and receive official confirmation of their presence as their main property, ensuring success in the industry. We hope that the National Certification Center for Logisticians in Kazakhstan will become an effective tool for promoting the country's logistics services in the global market, - concluded Dina Razakova.
