Productive meetings of the team of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held in Shamalgan and Kaskelen in the Karasay district of Almaty region.

In Shamalgan, at the Historical and Cultural Centre "Atameken" of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guests from Astana met with the employees of the center, representatives of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of Almaty Region and the Association of Museums of Almaty Region.

A seminar titled "The Role of Memory Institutions in Preserving the Historical Heritage of Independent Kazakhstan" was organized within the framework of the methodological support for museum activities aimed at preserving and promoting the historical heritage of the period of Kazakhstan’s Independence.

Colleagues from Astana and Almaty region shared their experience and points on issues of conducting search, research work, exhibition activities, implementation of interactive projects.

Director of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kulyaisha Aktayeva emphasized the significance of the meetings, noted: "An important part of such trips to the regions is the discussion of conceptual approaches to the preservation, representation and popularization of historical and cultural heritage, as well as modern trends in museum work. This helps to strengthen cooperation between cultural institutions."

During the meeting, a ceremony was held for the transfer of museum items to the Atameken Deposits. These are items of the First President from the “Ushkonyr” residence. ​

In addition, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Association of Museums of the Almaty Region and the Historical and Cultural Centre "Atameken". Cooperation indicates the willingness of the parties to implement joint projects, events and research.

On February 28, team of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the staff of the Historical and Local History Museum of Karasay District, where the relevant areas of work were discussed, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, and museum items were transferred. During the meeting, classmates and fellow countrymates of the First President shared their thoughts on the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
