The Foundation of Elbasy allocated 100 grants to rural students
The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy allocated 100 grants for training at «IQanat Kazakh-English High School».
The grant holders were determined on the eve of the Nazarbayev University at the closing ceremony of the I Republican rally of rural schoolchildren «IQanat». 12 winners from 701 rural ninth-graders who have become the best in mathematics, physics, English and in the essay competition «Erudite» have been identified.
In addition to valuable prizes, the winners received a unique opportunity to enter grants to prestigious universities of Kazakhstan and the world.
Of the 14 regions that participated in the Olympiad, the most prizes in the Zhambyl region are 2 first prizes in English and physics and 1 second prize in the essay competition «Erudit». The East Kazakhstan region has 2 prizes - the first and third prizes in the subject of mathematics. It is noteworthy that the least number of participants arrived from the Mangystau region, but they have two prizes in physics. In Turkestan, Aktyubinsk, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Kyzylorda and Almaty regions for one of the four disciplines.
At the closing ceremony of the Meeting, the opening in 2020 of a new school «IQanat Kazakh-English High School» in Borovoy was announced, in which only 100 of the strongest participants of the Olympiad «IQanat» will be able to attend each year.
Grants for training the first students were awarded by the executive director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Asset Issekeshev and the chairman of the board of trustees of the Educational Foundation «IQanat» Aydin Rakhimbayev.
One of the main tasks of the Foundation of the First President is to support talented youth. Aset Orentayevich told about the new initiatives of the Foundation aimed at supporting talented children.
«The Elbasy Foundation is working on important initiatives that are of great importance for our country. One of them is the creation of an integrated system of support for talents and leaders among schoolchildren and young people. For example, the project «Myn Bala» is launched. Within its framework, every year, 1 000 talented children from our villages will be given grants to study at the best schools and universities. This will help to gain access to advanced knowledge and achieve great success in life», said Asset Issekeshev.
