How a young scientist improved metal processing technology
Support of young talented scientists of Kazakhstan and creation of conditions for the realization of their intellectual potential is one of the priority activities of the Foundation of the First President.
Such a unique opportunity was successfully used by PhD, senior researcher of the Research Center “Surface Engineering and Tribology” under the auspices of East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov, Bauyrzhan Rakhadilov. A young scientist from Ust-Kamenogorsk became the winner of a grant from Elbasy Foundation, at the expense of which he created a packaged unit for processing metal materials.
The multifunctional device of a Kazakhstan scientist allows to process metal materials based on innovative electrolyte-plasma technology (cementation, hardening, nitration and anodizing methods).
An important advantage of Bauyrzhan Rakhadilov’s device is the speed of processing materials - it is 3-4 times higher compared with the speed of stationary electrochemical and electrolyte-plasma units. Among the features of the development, it is also worth mentioning its low weight and compactness.
In the process of developing the unit, Bauyrzhan conducted a series of experiments and studies, the results of which are already presented at international scientific conferences and published in specialized journals. The Foundation’s grant holder also received a positive opinion for granting of utility model patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
— This unit is focused on improving metal processing technology through aqueous electrolyte solution as a consumable material, which requires inexpensive, reliable and easy-to-use equipment, — concluded the project author, Bauyrzhan Rakhadilov.
