Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev had a talk with the Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President (FFP) of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Mr. Asset Issekeshev.

During the meeting, Mr. Issekeshev reported on the results of work for 2019 and the main tasks for 2020.

In 2019, the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy executed 95 projects. These are events in the educational sphere to support talented creative and scientific youth and children, as well as social projects (charity). All projects covered 461 thousand people.

Mr. Issekeshev also reported on the tasks for 2020. As part of the ongoing transformation of the Foundation, the following areas have been identified:

- Education, science and innovation;

- Promoting an inclusive society;

- Strategic Analytics;

- Support for projects in culture, literature, and the development of the state language.

- International cooperation.

In each direction, working groups were formed using the principles of project management. In total, 125 events are planned for the listed areas in 2020.

Separately, it was reported on the execution of new initiatives - Kamkorlyk and EL UMITI, which are completed with the support of the Government of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the Kamkorlyk initiative, the work is carried out jointly with Samruk-Kazyna SWF JSC and regional Akimats. FFP employees also visited hospitals and schools in Kostanay, East Kazakhstan, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Zhambyl, and Turkestan regions. 

According to the results of regional business trips, together with Akimats, institutions were selected where 8 rehabilitation centers and 16 inclusion classrooms will be opened. In addition, together with Akimats, the required personnel was determined. Training of specialists will begin in February. Currently, the equipment required for rehabilitation centers, and inclusion classrooms was purchased.

Under EL UMITI initiative with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with public organizations, the business community and regional Akimats, work has begun on 10 areas that will cover students in schools and universities,  including projects such as Myn Bala skills contest, awards for winners of El Maktanyshy international skills contests, Cybernation programming remote school, future job centers, and program on rewards of children and youth for active citizenship and patriotism, etc.

In addition, it was reported on the development of strategic analytics. On the basis of the Institute of world economy and politics, a "think tank" is created to conduct research in Geopolitics, Economics, Human Capital, as well as sociological, regional studies, etc.
