Innovative technologies in the food and processing industry, topical issues of crop production and animal agriculture, modern digital technologies in agricultural engineering – all this and much more was the subject of discussions held with the support of the First President's Foundation on December 6, at Dialogue of Young Scientists International Forum. 

Young scientists from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia and Uzbekistan attended the panel sessions. They made presentations on digitalization of agriculture, agroengineering, land management, as well as discussed topical issues in crop and animal agriculture, veterinary medicine, food and food safety, aquaculture and many others.

 

The forum of young scientists was held in the Kazakh National Agrarian University in Almaty. Opening it, the Deputy Chairman of the Council for science at the Elbasy Foundation, Sukhrab Zhaparov said "the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasizes the role of youth in the development of Kazakhstan. This applies to all spheres of life of the country – science, culture, innovation, economy, agriculture, industry. The cohesion of young scientists and their integration into the scientific area is the basis for the training of highly qualified specialists educated on national priorities, moral values and the continuity of generations."

 

Chairman of the Council of young scientists of KazNAU, Bekzat Turegeldiev stressed the importance of digitalization for the competitiveness of the agro industrial sphere:

 

- Digitalization of agriculture is an inevitable process that will reduce risks, adapt to climate change, increase crop yields and animal productivity, timely plan field work.

 

The scientists have concluded that reducing production costs, improving its quality and competitiveness through the effective use of resources and evidence-based approaches is the main task of digitalization of agriculture.
