Nazarbayev Center awarded authors of the best works on the development of Kazakhstan

The originality of presentation of the material, the ability to creatively reflect the essence of processes and phenomena, the depth of the topic covered - all of this and so much more speaks about the level of professionalism of a journalist.

          For the fourth consecutive year, the Library and the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy organizes a contest among media workers - Independence of Kazakhstan and Elbasy.                 

The contest is held to highlight the country’s achievements over the years of independence, popularize the ideas and initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, which served as the basis for the development of Kazakhstan sovereignty.

          The key element of this year’s competition was that it was granted the international status. A new nomination was established - The best publication in foreign media. Journalists from Azerbaijan, Germany, Russia, Turkey and Japan sent their works in this nomination.

          In his welcoming speech to the contest participants, the Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, Alkey Margulanuly, noted: “Thanks to the wise policy of the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, our country has created the basis for sustained growth in all areas and currently is achieving impressive breakthrough. We are confidently moving forward with ambitious goals. Their implementation, as well as the implementation of the tasks set by Elbasy at the dawn of independence, would have been impossible without the support of the nation, awareness of the government policy by the Kazakhstan population. The media play an oversize role in this matter. After all, they influence public opinion and promote the formation of public idea about certain phenomena and processes. At the same time, thanks to the media, organizations and officials have the opportunity to look at their work from the outside, identify certain shortcomings and eliminate them. Honoring the winners of the contest, we want to mention the best representatives of the media, express appreciation for your important work”.

532 works were presented for review in 5 nominations, including in Kazakh language – 277, Russian language – 222, foreign languages – 33 works. 

Winners of the first place received cash prizes in the amount of 1 million tenge, second place - 500 thousand and 200 thousand tenge for the third place. Winners were also awarded with badges and diplomas.

          The journalist of Atyrau-Akparat LLP, Hayrat Satayev won in the nomination “The best article in newspapers and magazines”.  

          The Chief Editor of the Analytical Programs Department of Khabar TV-channel, Abdyuakit Darkhan Taigaruly  won in the nomination “The Best Television Material”.

          The presenter, editor of Shalkar Radio, Nurmat Mansur won the first place in the nomination “The Best Radio Material”.

Arman Suleymenov, Editor of Qazaqstan tarihy portal won in the nomination “The Best Publication in Online Media”.

          Editor of newspaper “Yenicag.Az-New Era” (Azerbaijan) Rustam Gassymov was pronounced the winner of nomination “The best publication in foreign media”.
