Literary contest «Altyn Tobylgy» accepts applications
The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy July 1, 2019 announces the start of accepting applications for the Literary Award «Altyn Tobylgy» («Golden Meadowsweet»). The total amount of the bonus fund is 5.5 million tenge.
The contest «Golden Meadowsweet» is held for the fifth time and this year it is dedicated to the Year of Youth. Nominations of the competition: «The best prose», «The best poetry», «The best dramaturgy», «The best children's work». The winner in each of these four nominations will receive 1 million tenge.
A special thematic nomination «Creative Generation of the Great Steppe» was also announced. The award in this nomination is set at 1.5 million tenge.
Young Kazakhstani authors aged from 18 to 35 years are invited to participate in the competition. Only unpublished works are considered. Works are accepted at the email address at2019@fpp.kz
The jury of the competition included famous cultural figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan writers and journalists.
Entries will be evaluated according to the following criteria: compliance with the genre, independent thinking, author's position, consistency and meaningful presentation, originality of the idea, literary and artistic merit, imagination and creativity, depth of emotional and aesthetic impact. Objectivity of the evaluation of the works submitted to the competition is ensured by the principle of anonymity - reading the work and forming their professional opinion about it, the jury members do not know the name of the author.
Applications are accepted from July 1 to November 1, 2019. Winners (prize winners) will be announced in the first decade of December 2019. Details on the website www.fpp.kz.
The Award «Altyn Tobylgy» was founded in 2015 by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy to identify and support talented young authors. The Award «Altyn Tobylgy» annually opens new names in Kazakhstan literature, assists in promoting the work of young writers. The competition partner is the Development Foundation of State Language.
