Creativity: Travel Grants
TRAVEL GRANTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN CULTURAL AND ART EVENTS
The grants are offered to young people working in the fields of culture and art and are intended to cover their travel expenses related to their participation in art events (competitions, festivals, internships, round tables, master classes, biennale, and conferences) in Kazakhstan and abroad.
The goal of these events is to enhance their professional level and promote culture and art of Kazakhstan.
The grant amount covers travel and accommodation expenses for no more than two weeks (14 calendar days) and is awarded on a competitive basis.
CREATIVE AREAS
The grants are offered in the following areas:
- literature, journalism;
- choreography, music, theatre, cinema;
- art, architecture and design.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The competition is open to:
- Cultural and art workers with vocational education, under the age of 40 performing individually or in a creative band of up to 3 (three) people (in choreography and music nomination, the number of people in a group can be up to 5 (five));
- Students of educational institutions in the fields of culture and art performing individually or in a creative group of no more than 3 people (in choreography and music nomination, the number of people in a group can be up to 5 (five)).
FILING AN APPLICATION
The candidate should submit an application by the specified deadline alongside the other required documents (please see the Rules on Allocation of the Foundation travel grants to participate in cultural and art events).
GRANT AWARDING
The recipients of grants are determined by the Foundation commission consisting of at least five members. The grant is awarded to a candidate who gained at least ¾ of the votes of the commission members.
GRANT ALLOCATION
The grant is allocated after the contract is signed to allocate a grant (sponsorship) between the Foundation and the applicant.
The Foundation controls the use of funds and in case of the misuse of funds, it has the right to demand the return of the funds.
