National Olympiad «Myń Bala»

The Myń bala project aims to annually identify 1000 of the most talented students in grades 5 and 6 from rural areas and give them opportunity to study in the best schools of the country, successfully competing with their peers.

Aim of the Olympiad – creating conditions for the development and support of talents and abilities of schoolchildren in rural areas.

How participant got selected to take part in the Olympiad MYŃ BALA?

The Olympiad involves 2 stages – distant and personal. All activities are aimed at identifying skills and aptitudes for the study of subjects and further development.

I stage – distant
At the first stage, 5 thousand students of 5th and 6th grades of rural schools are selected based on their academic performance in the 1st and 2nd quarters of the current academic year. Assessment subjects: "Mathematics", "Natural Science", "Computer Science", "Kazakh Language", "Russian Language" and "English Language".

II stage – personal
At the second stage, 1,000 students are selected based on the results of computer testing. The assessment includes the identification of cognitive abilities, these are tasks to determine the skills of logical and spatial thinking. The testing of the second stage will be accompanied by a video broadcast.

Based on the results of participation in the Olympics Myń bala:

• 1000 winners with the highest score number will be offered training in specialized schools for gifted children.
• All participants of the Olympiad Myń bala will be provided with free access to courses on the developing online platform El Úmiti for further learning and skills development.
