A meeting with international warriors took place in Almaty
In the office of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy in Almaty, the Foundation staff organized a friendly meeting with the internationalist soldiers - members of the International Front Club named after the newspaper «Kazakhstanskaya Pravda».
For many years, friendly relations have been maintained between the Foundation of the First President and the Front Club named after the newspaper «Kazakhstanskaya Pravda», built on mutual respect, mutual understanding and support.
Members of the Front Club actively participate in the activities of the Foundation aimed at the military-patriotic education of the younger generation of Kazakhstan. In turn, with the support of the Foundation of the First President, books by the members of the club - veterans of the Great Patriotic War are published, poetry evenings and other events are held with the participation of veterans and young people.
Opening the meeting, Sergey Tokhtarov, Director of the Foundation’s representative office in Almaty, expressed his gratitude and recognition to the internationalist soldiers, wishing them good health, wealth and well-being.
Recall that February 15, 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the end of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.
Pupils of the military-patriotic club «Contingent» also came to congratulate the veterans of the war in Afghanistan. They read poems, sang songs to the guitar, read out letters from the soldiers and talked about the Afghan war, which lasted almost 10 years.
The memory of the dead of Kazakhstan, who performed the duty outside the Fatherland, was honored with a minute of silence.
The meeting continued with memories and discussion of plans for further cooperation.
Concluding the event, Vice President of the International Front Club named after the newspaper «Kazakhstanskaya Pravda», honorary officer of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Reserve, head of the branch of the Public Association «Foreign Intelligence Veterans» in Almaty Kabdolda Bekzhanov thanked the Foundation of the First President for support and attention, and addressed the youth with the words of good wishes and the blessing of a long life in joy and happiness.
On behalf of the Foundation of the First President, internationalist soldiers were presented with gifts.
