Nazarbayev Center honored the best in science, culture and art

Today, the Nazarbayev Center has awarded scholars in the field of exact, natural, humanitarian and technical sciences, musicians and actors.

Awarding of the laureates took place as part of summing up the results of the competition to award the Prizes of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy in the field of science, culture and art for 2018.

Identifying the best authors of original research and development, creative projects and programs has become a good tradition of the Foundation. Since 2008, there has been an annual award of the Young Talented Kazakhstani Prize to support and recognize their activities. During this period, 240 young people won awards. Today, the names of another 18 winners - outstanding figures of science, culture and art. As a result, to date, this project has 258 laureates of the Foundation of the First President.

The competition was held in the following directions: musical, theatrical and visual arts, cinematography, fiction, journalism, physics, mathematics, engineering, social and humanitarian sciences.

The following award ceremony was attended by: Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy D.N. Nazarbayeva, ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, prominent public figures, scientists and cultural workers, representatives of NGOs, etc.

At the opening ceremony of the Prize award ceremony, the Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Dariga Nazarbayeva congratulated the audience on the upcoming Thanksgiving Day and expressed gratitude to all winners: «Our country's reputation is at a very high position. Thank you so much for this! I wish everyone success, health, perseverance. I am sure that the Prize of the Foundation of the First President will give you greater self-confidence and will help you to move forward only to the highest peaks, which have no limits. As there is no limit to perfection. I wish you all health, happiness».

The winners of the Science Awards are:

• Nurkhat Zhakiyev - Researcher at the Nazarbayev University, PhD. The prize was awarded for the development of a unique multifactor mathematical model for optimizing the operation of Kazakhstan's thermal power plants, allowing them to increase their average annual energy efficiency by more than 15%;

      -  Almira Zhilkashinova - Senior Researcher of the East Kazakhstan State University, named after S. Amanzholov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The prize was awarded for the development of a unique domestic unmanned mini-hydroelectric power plant of the diversion type;

• Araily Zakiyeva - Deputy Dean of the Agrarian Faculty of the State University, named after Shakarim in Semey city, PhD. The prize was awarded for the development of new high-yielding domestic varieties of leguminous crops, adapted to the soil and climatic conditions;
•  Dinara Sarybayeva - Senior Lecturer of the Kazakh National Agrarian University, doctor PhD. The prize was awarded for the development of the highly effective import-substituting drug «Antakon» for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases;
•  Khaidar Tasibekov - Chief Researcher at the Kazakh National University, named after Al-Farabi, Ph.D. The prize was awarded for the development of highly efficient import-substituting carbon-containing sorbent for the extraction of rhenium, molybdenum and wolfram  from polymetallic ores of Kazakhstan;
• Manap Zhantasov - Associate Professor of the Department of South Kazakhstan State University named after M.Auezov, Ph.D. The prize was awarded for the development of a unique import-substituting multi-layer composite material for anticorrosion protection of main oil pipelines;
• Ellina Moon is a leading researcher at the National Center for Biotechnology of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the PhD. The prize was awarded for the development of unique domestic nanosystems of vesicular drug delivery in the treatment of cancer;
• Nurbek Nadirov - traumatologist, orthopedist of the National Scientific Center for Maternity and Childhood of CF  «UMC», doctor PhD. The prize is awarded for the development of a unique domestic technique of three-plane surgical correction of spinal deformity in children using transpedicular spinal systems.

                The winners of the Awards in the field of culture and art are:

• Bauyrzhan Aktayev - artistic director of the ethno-folklore ensemble «Astana Sazy». Awarded for his contribution to the development of traditional musical art of the West Kazakhstan region;
• Dina Mirmanova - accompanist-concertmaster  of the state theater «Astana Musical». Award for contribution to the cultural and social life of the country, for high professionalism and high creative activity;
• Arman Zhudebayev - Rector and Senior Lecturer, of the Department «Conducting» of the Kazakh National Conservatory, named after Kurmangazy. Awarded for his contribution to the development of musical art of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Aizada Kaponova - soloist of the opera troupe of the State Opera and Ballet Theater «Astana Opera», Commander of the Order «Kurmet». The prize was awarded for high achievements in the field of opera art of Kazakhstan, which made a significant contribution to the development of the cultural life of the Republic;
• Aigul Azatova - soloist of the Turkestan Regional Opera and Ballet Theater. For contribution to the development of opera art of the Turkestan region;
• Abilmansur Serikov - actor of the State Academic Kazakh Music and Drama Theater, named after Kuanyshbayev. The prize was awarded for the performance of the main roles in the theater performances;
• Dina Baitasova - Director of «Artios», founder of the TSE Art Destination Gallery of Modern Art. Award for contribution to the development of modern fine art of Kazakhstan;
• Akkali Zakirov, Yerzhan Tanayev –– art group «Tigrohaud crew». Award for a series of facade art objects throughout Kazakhstan;
• Nikita Karev - composer-musician of JSC «Kazakhfilm» named after Sh. Aimanov. Award for contribution to the development of domestic cinema;
• Dauren Merkeyev - Deputy General Director of JSC «KTK». The prize was awarded for documentaries and videos on cultural, social and socially significant topics.

Laureates were awarded a diploma, a badge and a cash prize.

It is worth noting, in different years, the well-known pop stars and cinema stars - Dimash Kudaibergen, Assel Sagatova, Alisher Karimov and others became laureates of the Award.
