Conquered listeners in many countries folk-ethnographic ensemble «Turan» celebrates its 10th anniversary
March 19, 2019 in Almaty, a creative meeting of the world famous folk and ethnographic ensemble «Turan» will take place. The event, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the creative way of the ensemble, was supported by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
As part of the creative meeting, the ensemble participants will talk about how «Turan» was created, share their impressions of the world tour in honor of the 10th anniversary of their creative journey and present plans for further development and upcoming performances in the country and abroad. For all the fans and journalists gathered, «Turan» will make a musical gift on the eve of the celebration of Nauryz.
The history of the team «Turan» begins in 2008. Today there are five musicians: Abzal Arykbayev, Bauyrzhan Bekmukhanbetov, Yerzhigit Aliyev, Maksat Medeubek, Serik Nurmoldayev. In addition to working in the ensemble, they teach at the conservatory, named after Kurmangazy and the Academy of Arts, named after T. Zhurgenov, being masters and doctors of art history.
The desire to find new ways and forms of sounding of such ancient instruments as sybyzgy, shankobyz, saz-syrnai, sherter, zhetіgen, shіnkildek, dombyra, kyl-kobyz, as well as the reconstruction of the ancient art of traditional throat singing, formed the basic idea of creating ensembles.
For 10 years, the ensemble has conquered listeners with its unique creativity in more than 70 countries of the world, giving over 600 solo concerts. The team performed in such famous venues as Carnegie Hall (New York, USA), Kennedy Center (Washington, USA), Concert House (Berlin, Germany), Kremlin Palace (Moscow, Russia), «Palace of Congress and Festivals» (Cannes, France), «Salle Corto» (Paris, France), etc.
In honor of its round date, the ensemble «Turan» made a world tour, having been performing in Belarus, Norway, Russia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Tatarstan and Turkey. With the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, the group gave solo concerts in the cities of the People's Republic of China - Shunde, Shenzhen, Qinghuangdao, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou.
Recently, «Turan» returned from the concert tour «Seven Facets of the Great Steppe», held in the cities of Monte-Carlo, Cannes and Paris, where the ensemble was received by the public with enthusiastic ovations. And in Saudi Arabia, which became the next stop of the group, the ensemble was invited to the festival «Nomad Universe» as guests and representatives of the Kazakh musical culture.
Returning to their homeland, the ensemble gathers friends and fans to share with them their successes and the results of a 10-year creative journey.
