The annual competition for the Foundation of First President’s Award for the best Kazakh-language website announced open
The Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy announced a competition for the best Kazakh-language website. The organizer of the competition is the Development Foundation of State Language under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
The purpose of the contest is to popularize Kazakh-speaking Internet resources, to help expand the scope of the use of the state language in the electronic information space, and to increase the share of Kazakh-language content on the Internet.
The competition for the award for the best site in the Kazakh language is held for the fourth time. According to the results of past competitions 25 domestic sites were awarded the title of laureate and cash prize.
The prize is awarded in the following categories:
«Otkir Til» - the best website promoting the state language and national values;
«Rukhani Azyk» - the best website promoting Kazakh culture and literature;
«Teren izdenіs» - the best site promoting the history of the Kazakh people;
«Shynaiy Omir» - the best site covering current issues of society;
«Sports Tynysy» - the best website promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle;
«Bіlіm bulagy» - the best educational site;
«Zhastar Alemі» - the best youth site;
«Aimak Ainasy» - the best regional site;
«Balalarga bazarlyk» - the best children's site;
«Oiyn Sauyk» - is the best entertainment site.
The winners of the competition are awarded a cash bonus of 385 thousand tenge for each nomination. The results of the competition will be announced at the end of the year.
The jury included well-known public figures, journalists, as well as representatives of the founder of the award. Content, functionality, interactivity, design, originality of the idea, general impression are the main criteria that will be guided by the jury.
Non-governmental and independent public sites may participate in the competition. The sites of government agencies, foreign organizations, electronic versions of the media (newspapers, tv, radio) cannot participate in the competition. The contest participant can be any site that provides information in the Kazakh language, with at least 1 year experience.
