Educated youth - the basis of a competitive state
The meeting with members of the Science Council at the Foundation of the First President is the same as opening an encyclopedia, immersed in knowledge of physics, sociology, history or medicine. It is understandable, because it includes the best representatives of Kazakhstani science. Workshops, scientific schools and forums held by the Council are very popular among those who seek new knowledge and continue to discover the world of technology and innovation.
Last month was rich in guest lectures from the Science Council. Nurkhat Zhakiyev, Doctor in Physics, winner of the project «100 New Faces of Kazakhstan», opened the series of useful meetings with young students. In the library of Elbasy, a young scientist during a training seminar «The path to the future begins with everyone» told students from two universities about the need to introduce digitalization in all sectors of the economy and explained how much humanity would benefit from this.
The physicist also shared his success story. Nurkhat admitted that he made several attempts before he could enter the doctoral program. He believes that the desire to improve the world, «greed» in knowing everything new is one of the main engines of science.
His colleague, the Deputy Chairman of the Council on Science, PhD in Medical Sciences Sukhrab Zhaparov took part in the international scientific-practical conference of students and young scientists «Apsatarov’s Readings: The Future of Medicine. Challenges and solutions». A well-known surgeon and the winner of the project «100 New Faces of Kazakhstan» told future doctors about the possibilities of the Foundation of the First President for talented students and young scientists. Suhrab Abaidullayevich called on the conference participants to participate in scholarship and grant programs, and also invited them to upcoming events organized by the Foundation through science.
But how to find a niche for a startup and monetize your idea, explained another member of the Science Council, business coach Gani Abadan. The founder of a number of Kazakhstani companies met with young people at the conference of young scientists «Science. Education. Youth» held within the walls of the Almaty Technological University. Master classes and trainings Gani always delight in the eyes of students, thanks to practical knowledge, live business examples and real-life cases.
