Favorite songs of the war years: the concert in honor of Victory Day will be held in Almaty
In Almaty on May 8, the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, together with the humanitarian fund «Degdar» in honor of Victory Day, holds a concert in the framework of the charity project «Time connecting thread». Favorite songs of the war years will be performed by famous Kazakhstani artists on the stage of the large concert hall of the Kazakh National Conservatory, named after Kurmangazy.
The tradition to hold charity concerts on Victory Day was laid 18 years ago by Dariga Nazarbayeva. On May 6, 2001, she gave her first charity concert in honor of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Since then, such concerts in the creative biography of Dariga Nursultanovna have become traditional. Her initiative was picked up by the best representatives of the creative intelligentsia. Artists not only donate their art, but also remind us of our son’s duty, which tells us to keep a grateful memory of the heroism of the winning generation.
The guests of the concert dedicated to the Victory Day are veterans and rear men of the Great Patriotic War, representatives of the Council of Generals of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participants in the hostilities in Afghanistan, cadets of military schools, as well as university students and pupils of Almaty.
The purpose of the event is to express respect and gratitude to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, workers of the rear and labor veterans, preserve the memory of the heroic actions of combatants, and educate Kazakhstani youth in the spirit of patriotism.
The concert program of the concert will feature compositions of the war and post-war years, folk music. And the laureates of the Award of the Foundation of the First President will be performed by the honored workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Azamat Zheltyrguzov (baritone) and Medet Chotabayev (tenor); Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzat Daurbayeva (soprano); laureate of international competitions, soloist of the State Trio «Forte Trio» Dinara Bazarbayeva-Sakhaman (violin), renowned pianist, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chevalier of the Order «Kurmet», artistic director of the project «Times of Connecting Thread» Timur Urmancheyev,
The audience will be presented a varied program, including recognized masterpieces of instrumental music, as well as popularly favorite songs about the war «Smuglyanka», «Where are you now ...», «Mother’s Ballad», «Blue Scarf», «In the City Garden», «Katyusha» and etc.
The performance of the artists will be accompanied by the State Orchestra «Camerata of Kazakhstan» conducted by conductor Pavel Tarasevich.
As part of the celebration of Victory Day, the Foundation of the First President will provide material support to veterans and the warriors of the Great Patriotic War in the form of a cash bonus, as well as give them food baskets.
