The big holiday of children's creativity organized the Foundation of the First President in Almaty
On May 21, on the eve of the International Children's Day, the Foundation of the First President held a big celebration for pupils of boarding schools and orphanages in Almaty and Almaty region. A fascinating program from the animators, sweet treats and the premiere of the film «Pokemon. Detective Pikachu» received participants of the Festival «Meyirim» as a gift from the Foundation.
The festival of children's creativity «Meyirіm» is a joint project of our Foundation and the Public Foundation of Marat Ospanov. This year the festival celebrates its tenth anniversary. His goal is to assist children and adolescents with special needs in revealing talents and their unique abilities in their work.
The festival «Meyirіm» traditionally precedes the eponymous contest, which takes place in stage and instrumental craftsmanship, visual and decorative and applied arts. Children from orphanages, correctional boarding schools and SOS children's villages demonstrate their creativity to the court of professional jury. Paintings, handicrafts, dances, songs and theatrical performances - the genre palette of the competition knows no boundaries.
Jury members, including the mentor of project «Voice of Kazakhstan», Eva Becher, the famous composer Maksat Zhautikov, and the soloist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay Zarina Altynbayeva, music producer Sultana Karazhigitova, noted that evaluating the performances of the contestants is not an easy job. Admiration of talents and empathy for the stories of children who have fallen into difficult life situations, cause a variety of feelings and emotions.
The laureates and prize-winners of the children's creativity contest «Meyirim» were also named at the festival, which, by the way, took place on the stage of the Kazakh State Philharmonic named after Zhambyl. Famous cultural figures and representatives of the creative intelligentsia came to award and congratulate the winners. Along with the award ceremony, a festive concert of the festival participants took place. Young singers and dancers presented their best performances from the competition program.
The festival ended with the execution of the gesture song «Closing the Circle».
