Winners of the project «Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge» identified

The results of the Republican project «Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge» have been summed up. It is organized by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy,  RSE «National Intellectual Property Institute» of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev University, JSC «Air Astana», JSC «Samruk-Kazyna Trust», and Cranfield University.

The project, aimed at deepening the knowledge of schoolchildren in engineering and technical areas, increasing interest in creating products of intellectual activity in the transport industry, was attended by the 100 best teams from all regions of Kazakhstan.

17 teams were selected for the final stage. Their participants presented their design, technological, technical solutions and ideas aimed at improving the efficiency of aircraft flights.

Today, among the finalists, there are two teams that have become the best in the Republican project. The winning teams - «Single wave» from Pavlodar region and «Aviators» from Akmola region in August 2019 will go on a week-long educational trip to Cranfield University (United Kingdom). This educational institution is one of the leading universities in the world in the field of aerospace design and the development of «green» technologies.

Together with the guys from these teams, two more students from each finalist team will also go on a trip abroad.

- We initially aimed at winning, believed in it and we did it! Our team presented a project that allows you to save aircraft fuel, increase the capacity of the cabin, the speed of the aircraft. During the month we worked hard - each in its own direction. We are very glad that all this was not in vain, - says Dmitry Nikifirov, a member of the team «Single wave».
