Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Welfare Fund JSC and the First President's Foundation will help children with cerebral palsy and special needs
8 rehabilitation centers for children with developmental disabilities and 16 additional inclusion support classrooms will be established within the framework of the signed Memorandum between Samruk-Kazyna SWF JSC and the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. Nazarbayev. The parties signed a Memorandum on cooperation in health and education development.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of the Foundation Mr. Akhmetzhan Yessimov noted that the Foundation has achieved good financial performance in recent years and is the largest funder of charitable programs in Kazakhstan. The scope of charity of the Foundation’s company group amounted to more than KZT 60 billion with a total coverage of more than 1 million people in the last 5 years alone.
‘Within the framework of the Memorandum, a number of social projects are planned to be executed jointly. We will continue working together on the Kamkorlyk Program, which was initiated by our First President - Elbasy. I am sure that through the execution of such programs, the Samruk-Kazyna Fund will make a significant contribution to the lives of people who find themselves in a difficult situation and are not able to solve these issues, which in general will contribute to positive social changes in the country’, the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Mr. Akhmetzhan Yessimov said.
The Lead of Samruk-Kazyna stressed that the Kamkorlyk Program will be a vivid example of trilateral cooperation between business, the state and the non-governmental sector. It should be noted that the Kamkorlyk, initiative of Elbasy provides a wide range of activities for the development of an inclusive society. The first stage involves the support of children with special needs, opening of rehabilitation centers and inclusion classrooms.
In turn, the Foundation of the First President organizes training of 171 specialist and refresher training for 49 rehabilitators to open data centers, Samruk-Kazyna JSC will provide equipment for the centers.
‘Our working group visited all regions and identified localities where rehabilitation centers and inclusion classrooms will be located. They will be opened on the basis of existing hospitals, clinics and secondary schools in 8 regions. At the initial stage, we determined the list of equipment, necessary specialists, and developed training and retraining programs for specialists. Elbasy set a task for us - to open rehabilitation centers in this year. No doubt, it is a big job. In this difficult matter, we have such a strong partner as Samruk Kazyna. Together, we create better conditions for children who need a special approach and help them achieve their goals,’ Mr. Asset Issekeshev, Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy said.
