The Nazarbayev center has awarded young smart schoolchildren
Curiosity is an important for any pupils. After all, the interest in learning the world, the desire to acquire new knowledge are the basis for the formation of an educated and successful citizen.
Today in the Nazarbayev center the ceremony of rewarding of young smart schoolchildren – winners of the international online tournament on Who is Smarter? intellectual and informative game.
The tournament is organized every year by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, State Language Development Foundation and is held among schoolchildren of 9, 10, 11 grades.
Intellectual superiority is aimed at identification and encouragement of the most erudite children, activation of cognitive interest of schoolchildren, increase of cultural, educational level of young generation.
The online tournament has been held since 2016. Who is Smarter? Game is made as a mobile application with a database of 35,000 questions on the topics: Sports, XX-XXI Century, Around the World, Art, History of Kazakhstan, Nature of Kazakhstan, Health, and Science.
In his congratulatory speech, the Director of the State Language Development Foundation Mr. Azat Shaueyev said: "We are pleased that for four years the schoolchildren have shown a high interest in the tournament. Only this year it was attended by about 7,000 schoolchildren of the Republic and neighboring countries. In the final games in Nur-Sultan, the top 11 players competed in erudition and quickness of reaction. I wish the participants of the tournament to remain curious and winner. I encourage you to participate in the competitions of the Elbasy Foundation and the State Language Development Foundation".
Among the Kazakh-speaking players, the 1st place was taken by Suragan Daurzhan, a pupil of the 9th grade from Karaotkel village, Akmola region. 2nd place of honor was given to the 9th grade pupil from Shayan village, Turkestan region, Dariga Tattibek. 3rd place was taken by a pupil of the 10th grade of the school of Karabas village, Semey, Gulnur Muratbekova.
Among the Russian-speaking players, Kamila Shanyshpaeva, a pupil of the 11th grade of secondary school No. 4 in Aksu, Pavlodar region, took the 1st place. 2nd place was won by Sofia Belousova, a pupil of the 9th grade, also from Aksu. The 3rd place was taken by Roman Korotkov, a pupil of the 11th grade of school No. 4 in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
