On December 13, Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Mr. Asset Issekeshev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Tatsuhiko Kasai at the Nazarbayev Center.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and public foundations of Japan were discussed.

The parties discussed three areas of partnership: rehabilitation of children with special needs, cooperation of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with Think Tanks of Japan and development of human as a factor of competitiveness of the country.

Mr. Issekeshev informed the high guest about the goals of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the projects being implemented.

"The mission of our Foundation is to support social and critical initiatives of the First President of Kazakhstan. Therefore, the experience of Japan in the social and educational projects is very important for us. The Foundation currently implements new initiatives. The Kamkorlyk Project is aimed at supporting young Kazakhstan citizen with special needs. It would be very useful for us to learn advanced children rehabilitation methods in Japan. We are also interested in your educational programs and leadership projects, and in general, the lessons learned in the development of human," Mr. Issekeshev said.

He noted that the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy pays special attention to research activities, including through the development of international partnership and exchange of experience with leading Think Tanks of Japan.

In turn, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Tatsuhiko Kasai noted the high potential of bilateral cooperation. He said that good relations between the countries is one of the priorities of Japan's foreign policy.

"Relations between Kazakhstan and Japan are aimed at further development of strategic partnership. We are ready to cooperate in all areas discussed today during the meeting," Mr. Tatsuhiko Kasai concluded.
