Hour of Code Educational Campaign has started in Kazakhstan
Today a large-scale annual campaign, held for the fifth year in a row across Kazakhstan begins.
In the period from 9 to 14 December 2019 in secondary schools in all regions of the country special programming lessons will be organized by Elbasy Foundation, the Ministry of education of Kazakhstan, Love to Code and Method.kz.
In fact, this campaign is a global movement aimed at capturing pupils’ interest in Computer Science, the profession of a programmer, promoting the development of programming skills.
The large-scale nature of the campaign is evidenced by the fact that the Hour of Code is held in more than 180 countries.
During the week, schoolchildren of the country will be taught the basics of programming. Such lessons are built on the basis of easy communication and games.
Every year, the coverage of this campaign is growing. If in 2015 more than 74 thousand children took part in cognitive lessons, in 2018 their number was more than 355 thousand.
