Results of Elbasy Foundation in 2019
Seeing off the outgoing year, each of us recalls the major events over the past 12 months.
Summing up the activities of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, we would like to highlight the most striking events that the Fund held in 2019.
In total, 95 events were held this year. Most of them are aimed at supporting talented youth in science and culture, disseminating the values of the Kazakh people.
Special consideration was given to the organization of events that support the development of young people in IT technologies. We organized the first republican championship in robotic technology among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan “IITU Robocon 2019”. 10 winning teams of Smart Zholy program presented their projects to corporations in Singapore.
The Republican competition of projects in robotic technology “KazRoboProject-2019”, the competition “Nazarbayev Fund Schools Challenge”, and global campaign “Hour of Code” (with the participation of 350 thousand students) were held.
El Umiti project was launched to support talented children and stimulate development. A big meeting was organized between Elbasy and active participants of this initiative and the awardees of the First President’s Foundation.
A number of major events for the self-realization of children with special needs were held – the inclusive festival Aman Keleshek, III Paralympic Starts -Together to Victory and others.
The best poets and writers were selected as part of Altyn Tobylgy contest. The international creative festival ZhasSTAR was held, gala concert of the awardees of Elbasy Foundation “With a dream in the heart – on the way to the top!”
Events were also organized to disseminate the ideas of Elbasy about preserving global peace.
These and dozens of other projects in 2019 allowed to find, support hundreds of young people, strengthen the conciliation.
We will discuss some of these major projects of the past year in the next post.
Of course, Burabay Forum – international forum for young scientists, which was held for the third time in 2019, deserves special attention. More than 120 participants from 12 countries visited Kazakhstan, where they exchanged innovative ideas, proposals, and also established contacts for joint research. Following the Forum, a resolution was adopted in which young scientists expressed specific measures to eliminate scientific problems that impede the development of research and facilitate the strengthening of international scientific cooperation.
Thanks to the Zamannyn` ziatker jastary – vision of the future Fair of Social Ideas and Projects, 17 NGO projects launched in the country aimed at addressing important social problems. We regularly talk about them throughout the year. These include co-working center in Priozersk, discussion club for Kazakh language “Mamіle”, career guidance courses for people with special needs in Kostanay, inclusive workshop in Atyrau, sensory kits for disabled children, etc.
Thanks to travel grants, young scientists and cultural figures traveled to many countries and realized their talent through participation in foreign internships, forums, festivals, competitions, and symposiums. Competition of grants for creative projects and scientific research helped gifted Kazakhstan people to demonstrate their unique capabilities for the good of the country.
Thus, it is worth noting the scientific project “Innovative approach to teaching robotic technology using augmented reality” by a young scientist Alma Zakirova and the national ballet performance “The Wanderings of Korkyt”, authored by director Damir Urazymbetov.
We appreciate everyone who actively participated in our events, tried their strength at competitions, and decently represented the republic on the world stage this year.
In the New Year, we wish you more victories and new achievements!
