A. Issekeshev: Educational programs, internships and grants for youth are launched as part of the initiative «El Umitі»
Today, November 16, at the Halyk Arena was held the youth forum «El Umiti» organized by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy with the support of the City Administration of Almaty. The metropolis became the second city where a large-scale event unfolded as part of the implementation of the Elbasy initiative for the comprehensive support of talented children and youth. The first marathon took place at the beginning of the month in Aktobe.
The main characters of the bright event were young Kazakhstanis who achieved success in science, culture, sports, business and social activities. These are almost 3,000 youth leaders, activists and innovators from the years. Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions. The main task of the marathon is to clearly demonstrate the unlimited potential of the younger generation and professionals in their field, their aspirations for success and a significant contribution to the development of the country.
Achievements of Kazakhstani youth were noted by the Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Asset Issekeshev and the head of City Administration of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
Asset Issekeshev, addressing the participants of the marathon, said that the main goal of the «El Umiti» initiative is to identify and support talented children and youth from all over the country - from cities and villages, from different industries.
- The best educational resources, tests, and services will be collected as part of the initiative «El Umiti». They will be available to everyone free of charge. In addition, internships are planned in Kazakhstan and abroad, grants for admission to universities, special programs for children from rural areas, for gifted children, for winners of olympiads, as well as special prizes in various fields of science, innovation, culture, - Issekeshev added.
Almaty, for good reason, became the second city where the marathon «El Umіti» was held. About 700 thousand young people live here, that is, almost every third city dweller is a young man. More than 230 thousand of them are students. All of them study at 39 universities and 81 Almaty colleges.
- Talent and energy, creative abilities are the strongest competitive advantage of our city. We understand this and greatly appreciate it. As part of the order of Elbasy - Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, this year in Almaty 1050 apartments of rental housing for working youth will be issued. Starting from 2020, we will continue the implementation of our program «Almaty Zhastary» and increase the allocation of apartments to 1000 per year. Almaty solves the issues of young people: it hires, gives professional skills, supports business initiatives. We will develop our city so that the younger generation can realize their «Almaty Dream». Therefore, I consider the marathon «El Umіti» to be strategically important for the city, - emphasized the head of the City Administration of Almaty Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
In turn, the best representatives of modern youth from the big stage talked about personal growth, the first victories and failures. With their energetic performances, young entrepreneurs, scientists and cultural figures charged the participants of the marathon with an excellent mood, inspired everyone on the course to great success and motivated them to increase their competitiveness in any field.
Representatives of the Foundation of Elbasy noted that there should be more such stories. All Kazakhstanis who are in search of opportunities to realize their talents should know about them.
Recall that under the auspices of «El Umiti», the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, together with the Government, Cities Administration, NGOs and the business community, launches leadership programs, develops educational resources and initiates a whole range of systems for identifying talented children and youth.
We add that to congratulate the marathon «El Umiti» runners and support the good undertakings of young people, popular Kazakhstani pop stars also came, including Ninety One, Kairat Baekenov and Gulsim Myrzabekova, Raim & Arthur, Kamshat Zholdybayeva and others.
The final point of the marathon was the transfer to the Foundation of the First President the «Memory Card» - a hard disk containing information about all the project participants, their achievements and victories. Cases of young Kazakhstanis will form the basis of a special portal that will be available to everyone.
