Councils on science and culture summed up the competition for the prizes of the Foundation of the First President

The Councils on Science and Culture at the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy held meetings at which they summed up the results of the competition for the Foundation's prizes for 2018.

Recall that from October 17 to December 30, 2018, the Foundation of the First President received applications from young scientists and artists to participate in the traditional competition for the prestigious title «Laureate of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy».

From all over Kazakhstan, more than 60 young scientists and more than 50 cultural figures who achieved high results in their research and creative activities took part in the competition. And only 18 of them were highly appreciated of their achievements on the basis of the work of the competition commission.

- In 2018, when evaluating competitive works in the field of science and technology, we first introduced indicators of their international recognition, which, along with traditional criteria, relevance for the Republic of Kazakhstan, compliance with the world level of research, availability of industry-wide developments, revealed the Winners of the competition, Whose scientific ideas can already be safely called an innovative breakthrough in domestic science, - summing up the competition, said Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Chairman of the Council  on science at the Foundation Dmitry Korulkin.

The names of the best young scientists and cultural and art workers will become known at the solemn ceremony of awarding the Prizes of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, which will be held in Astana in the Nazarbayev Center. The date of the ceremony will be announced later.
