Almaty in anticipation of the best choreographers from near and far abroad
In Almaty, from 11 to 13 May 2019, will be held the V International Festival of Ballet Schools «Orleu-2019». A major cultural event in the southern capital is organized by the Almaty choreographic school named after A. V. Seleznev, together with the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The festival is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Almaty choreographic school named after A. V. Seleznev.
The purpose of the festival remains unchanged. These are the support and popularization of the national choreographic art, the strengthening of the professional community of choreographers, the international exchange of creative achievements and experience in the field of choreographic education.
The festival takes place in the light of the implementation of the state program of modernization of public consciousness «Ruhani Zangyru» and in the framework of the Year of Youth announced by Elbasy N. Nazarbayev. In this regard, the organizers will pay special attention to the cultural education and development of the creative potential of modern youth.
The festival will be attended by students and teachers, accompanists, methodologists, scientists, practitioners and ballet dancers, professional dance groups and student groups of dance schools in Kazakhstan, Russia, Bashkortostan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Buryatia, Yakutia and South Korea.
Daria Dmitriyeva (Yakutia), Lyudmila Mergeneva (Buryatia), Gainikamal Beysenova (Kazakhstan) will perform with a large educational program aimed at developing the talents of creative young people. Ballet masters will share their experience and present ballet schools of their countries and regions in the framework of individual master classes.
The rich program of the fifth festival of ballet schools will be presented by the following events: the exposition of the Kazakh stage costume «Time is a binding thread», a photo exhibition by G. Kapanova «The Way to Dance», an art exhibition by the young author Natalia-Raminty Barauskaite «Colors of Dance», a conference «Modern Art and Education in the era of globalization», round table «The School presentation and prospects for the development of choreographic education - Ballet of the XXI century», the presentation of the film «Almaty choreographic school named after A.V. Seleznev today».
On May 12, at 6:30 pm, in Almaty choreographic school named after A.V. Seleznev will take place grand opening of the festival.
May 13, at 5:15 pm in the SAOBT, named after Abay held a press conference of the organizers and guests of honor of the festival for the media.
The V International Festival of Ballet School «Orleu» will end with a gala concert of the participants on the stage of the SAOBT named after Abay May 13 at 18:30.
We add that the festival was also supported by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, «Petro Kazakhstan», the Development Foundation for Support of Ballet and National Dance, and the SAOBT, named after Abay.
