Creative workshop for special youth opened in Atyrau
The country continues to implement socially-oriented projects that have received the support of the Foundation of the First President. The help center for NGOs and a club for learning the Kazakh language in Almaty, a beach for youth with disabilities in Aktau, a creative festival for the humanistic education of children in the Akmola region are all winners of the social ideas and projects contest held by the Foundation of Elbasy since 2005.
Today we are pleased to present another project - this is an inclusive workshop for people with disabilities from 16 years old «Mars». A creative center was opened this summer in Atyrau by the efforts of the Public Fund «Zhurekten Zhurekke». The project won a grant from the Foundation of the First President following the results of the social ideas and projects fair «Zamannyn` ziatker jastary - vision of the future» in the nomination «Aman Keleshek is near!».
In the creative and social space «Mars», courses on cutting and sewing, the English language, the development of the profession of an SMM manager, modeling and needlework are open. There are also trainings where young people are taught how to conduct social projects.
The head of PF «Zhurekten Zhurekke», Gulbaram Ermukhanova noted that the goal of opening an inclusive workshop is to create a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility.
- It is significant that the project allowed our children to see support, to feel like part of the whole Kazakhstani society, a full-fledged citizen of their country. I am glad that «Mars» drew the attention of the public and the state to the problems of adaptation of youth with disabilities the creator of the creative workshop added.
In the center, 50 people can simultaneously be accompanied by parents, social workers or relatives responsible for the health and safety of the children during training courses in the workshop.
