PRESS SERVICE OF NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV FOUNDATION. 6.10.20 — Tomorrow, October 7th, 11:00a.m. In the Park named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a patriotic action "We Remember - We Are Proud" will be held, organized by the Republican Public Association "Council of Generals" and PF "Council of WWII Veterans, Home Front Workers and Children of War" with the broad support of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation.
In the course of the patriotic action, carried out with the observance of social distance and with a limited number of participants, the "Walk of Fame" will be presented with the installation of a memorial plate on the territory of the Park.
The aim of the action is to perpetuate and preserve the memory of the courageous feat of Kazakhstani people who participated in the Great Patriotic War, to express tribute to the generation of victors, to the courage and heroism of every soldier of the war.
Note that in many cities of Kazakhstan, in particular in the West Kazakhstan region and in the regional centers that were part of the frontline zone during the Battle of Stalingrad, there are Walk of Fame, Walk of Heroes, Parks of Battle Glory and other memorial structures that reflect courage and heroism separately taken categories of participants in the war. In Almaty, such a place is the Park named after 28 Panfilov guardsmen, which promotes the massive feat of the defenders of Moscow.
The alley of the participants of the Great Patriotic War in the Park named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will serve as a memory of the courage of every soldier of the war. For the modern generation, they are Heroes who stood up as one to defend the Motherland. They knew that at any moment they could die in a war with superior enemy forces.
Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, generals and veterans of military service, pupils of the military-patriotic clubs "Zhas Sarbaz", representatives of NGOs will take part in the patriotic action.
