Educational Program for Robotics Teachers - «Ozyq Urpaq»

The «Ozyq Urpaq» program is a large-scale educational project aimed at establishing robotics clubs in schools across Kazakhstan. Launched in 2022, its primary goal is to popularize robotics and programming among schoolchildren while also enhancing teacher qualifications. Over three years, the program has expanded to five cities, training more than 1,900 students.
Program Objectives:
1. Teaching children the fundamentals of robotics and programming to develop their interest in innovation and engineering.
2. Enhancing robotics teachers' qualifications and integrating modern teaching methods into schools.
3. Establishing a knowledge and technology transfer platform between urban and regional educational institutions.
4. Encouraging participation in national and international robotics competitions.
Implementation Timeline:
First Year (2022-2023):
Covered 10 schools in Semey and Zhezkazgan.
Ran from November 2022 to April 2023.
694 students trained.
Second Year (2023-2024):
Expanded to three additional cities: Aktau, Kostanay, and Kyzylorda.
Included 15 schools, training 1,254 students.
Ran from November 2023 to April 2024.
Third Year (2024-2025):
Currently implemented in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe, and Uralsk.
822 students from 15 schools are participating.
Program runs until April 2025.
Since its launch, «Ozyq Urpaq» has not only trained over 2,700 children in robotics and programming, but also built a network of educators who continue to pass on knowledge across Kazakhstan. The program has significantly influenced educational robotics, identifying over 100 talented students who have already achieved success in national competitions.
