“El Úmiti” (Hope of the Nation) initiative was proposed by First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2019.
Description of initiative
“El Úmiti” (Hope of the Nation) initiative was proposed by First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in 2019 to support and cultivate young talents and leaders. It translates as the hope of the nation and reflects the essence of new projects - the search and support for talented Kazakh young people, primarily school students and youth who prepare to become professionals in different areas - new industry, business, science, medicine, education, and public administration. We have great expectations to achieve the goals of Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy and become one of the world’s top 30 most competitive countries.
As part of the “El Úmiti” initiative, the Foundation of Nursultan Nazarbayev implements several education projects with the government of Kazakhstan, regional akimats, public associations, businesses, and other stakeholders.
