Cultural Code of the Nation
“Cultural Code of the Nation” is implemented by the State Language Development Foundation established in 2008 at the initiative of Kazakhstan’s First President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Description of initiative
The key idea that shapes the activities of the State Language Development Foundation is to contribute to the preservation and protection of the national heritage and foundation of the Kazakh culture - Kazakh language.
The main goals of the Foundation are to promote Kazakh language, develop and incorporate innovative education programs meant to teach the Kazakh language, facilitate the promotion of cultural, literary and spiritual achievements of the Kazakh people and development of digital education resources, support and promote state language and literature abroad, support Kazakh citizens abroad in preserving and studying native language and foreigners in Kazakhstan in their efforts to learn Kazakh.
The Foundation has implemented more than 200 language, cultural and education projects since its establishment.
The target audience includes preschool facilities, secondary school students, college and university students, and young people from ethnocultural associations.
